The Online Agricultural Careers Expo has been designed for year 10, 11 & 12 students interested in considering a career in agriculture. Agriculture teachers, primary industries teachers, careers advisors and others who assist young people entering the workforce, are also welcome to attend.

Speakers will be top-level professionals from some of Australia’s most successful agricultural companies, and the online format removes the barriers of distance making the event available right across the country. Agriculture is a thriving Industry with competitive salary packages and it is important that young people continue to seek out careers and further education in this field.

Topics include:

  • Working in Agriculture – overview of salaries and conditions (Holmes Sackett)
  • Types of jobs, salaries & conditions
  • Scholarships, graduate and traineeship programs
  • Careers and growth areas
  • Pathways in Agriculture Education

The session will be recorded, students attending on the day will have the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers which will give students direct access to HR managers running some of the most coveted traineeship and graduate programs around the country. There will also be a great lucky door prize for a school that attends the live session.

Representing Your Industry

Any beef producer in Australia can become a Cattle Council member. Membership is $100 (+GST) annually per individual or Property Identification Code (PIC). For those producers who are already members of a State Farming Organisation, the membership fee is waived. Click here for more information on becoming a member.
