Annual General Meeting and Direct Elections

Cattle Council's Annual General Meeting (AGM) is to be held at 8.00am Tuesday, 21 November 2017 at the Alice Springs Convention Centre, Alice Springs, Northern Territory. 

This year four board positions are open for nomination by their respective State Farming Organisations including:

  1. New South Wales Farmers 
  2. Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association
  3. Pastoralists & Graziers' Association of Western Australia
  4. Northern Territory Cattleman's Association

As a direct member you are entitled to vote on nominations for the board and any other motions. Voting will be conducted online from Thursday 2 November to Friday 19 November.

You will have one opportunity to vote and so must consider your decision carefully. 

You may also express interest to sit on one of Cattle Council’s policy consultative committees.

Expressions of interest are due by COB Tuesday 31 October 2017 using the provided consultative committee expression of interest form. 

The consultative committees are:

1.    Animal Health, Welfare, Biosecurity and Environment (AHWB&E)

2.    Research, Development and Adoption (RD&A)

3.    Marketing, Market Access and Trade (MMAT)

4.    Industry Systems and Food Safety (ISFS)

Written motions for consideration at the AGM are due by COB Tuesday 31 October 2017. Motions can also be moved from the floor on the day of the AGM.
